Many of you may have heard about the Manhattan Declaration and how they are urging civil disobedience against LGBT people…our brothers and sisters. Recently an LA TIMES article called them dangerous and destructive. Until now they hasn’t been a stand, no Christian group (gay or otherwise) has taken a stand against such destructive and irresponsible behavior.

The Affirmation Declaration has just launched and is already we are gaining ground with over 900 signatures. We are asking everyone to sign the declaration and spread the word. Not only do we take a stand against their promotion of violence, we have a rebuttal to refute their perverted use of scripture to justify this violence and hatred that they claim is them loving people.

I’m asking that you would kindly consider singing the declaration and if you have a blog post about the Affirmation Declaration on your blog or send out a tweet to all your friends telling them about it too. Help me spread the word! It doesn’t matter if you or your friend and family are believers or non-believers, we MUST take a stand against violence in the gay community, and we must take a stand against anyone who pronounces judgments on people that only God can make.
